Must Read!: Chantal Biya is My Inspiration Find Out Why She Will Inspire You Too

If you've never heard of Chantal Biya, today is your lucky day. She is the first lady of Cameroon. She's a little bit gaudy, and a little bit church-lady swagger. And, I love everything about her. You can be empowered by her I don't give a damn what everybody else is doing, I'm doing ME approach to life.

I first saw Chantal a couple-weeks-ago, on the Huffington Post, in a picture with Carla Bruni of France. Saying she stands out in the crowd is an understatement. Her hair alone will make invisible anyone who dares stand near her. Online, people love to hate on Chantal because of her hair, clothes, and makeup. Me, I could care less what she wears or how much of it. I featured her, because I want to encourage you to channel your inner Chantal.

STAND OUT!! You don't have to be over the top, but please don't get lost in the crowd. Be seen, be heard, be present. Stop being so safe and appropriate, because the people in the back don't catch the t-shirt.

It might be your style. It could be your job. It's possibly your hopes and dreams. What ever it is, stand out. I'm sure Chantal knows people hate on her, but she's not defined by the opinion of others. You shouldn't be either. You are too fabulous for that.

Question: How do you stand out? We would love to hear your story.

Love
Hillerie Camille

I think my smile makes me stand out. I'm not loud, and I wouldn't say that I'm necessarily the most fashionable person (unlike my mother and sister!). But I SMILE when people look at me, and I say HELLO! I notice how people will automatically smile back, and seem really appreciative of receiving a smile! How easy is that?!
