I'm so excited!! Today, I'm going to the Las Vegas Design Center and World Market. It is THE place interior designers and buyers get furniture for exclusive clients. Now, us "plain folks" can go behind the veil, so I'll be skipping through the halls looking for living room furniture. I'm a newlywed, and it's time to "merge our styles" into a dream home........ That's fancy talk for I made him get rid of his hard ass couch, and other ugly furniture, before we got married. Now we need to get furniture we both like. It's Living Room Impossible, but I'm up for the challenge, and so are you.
Follow these simple tips and you'll be ready:
- Divide the project into smaller parts, and only tackle one task at a time. That way, you stay sane and remain on the same page. Ladies, if we're not careful, we'll move at warp speed, leaving suga pie wondering when we agreed to buy a pink couch.... terrible, terrible, terrible.
- Make a design board, to keep you on track, and help limit confusion while executing the plan. Also, You'll know what you want, for the space, before you start shopping. I'll post pictures of our design board when it's finished.
If you won $5,000, to buy furniture, where and how would you spend it?
Love

I would create a mini library in my living room. I've come to realize that the whole idea of this formal living room is really not my cup of tea. So what would make me happy is to have an area to display my book collection and magazines, and still be nice and cozy for company when they come by. I've already seen the floor-to-ceiling bookshelves that I want to place on the wall of the room!
If I had money left, I would definitely get my master bedroom together. We need a new bedroom set like 5 years ago!
I'm all excited with you about the decorating the home thing! LOL I'm finally at a point to where I'm not focused on other priorities, and I can finally get the house together!
Gaea do it! The thing about your house is, that it should be whatever you like. I think everybody's house looks like a model. Everybody's house should reflect their own style. You should come up with really creative ways to display your books.
